Chimera is a collection of objects that began out of a photo in the "Wilder Mann" series of the photographer Charles Fréger.

The objects are composed of different material worlds, and most of them do not seek to be useful, but examine the connection between their components. They may exist individually, but together they harmonize into a family: some share a similar material base, others relate by color palette or similar means of connectivity. In this sense they all share some common DNA.

In my work, I neutralized the functional significance of objects as we know them, and treated them as elements with new potential. Thus, the rubber bands on the wiper create a new texture that reverberates to wicker- a technique that usually uses natural materials such as bamboo, while the suction cup at the end of the ring is a substitute for a precious gem stone.

The materials were collected from my living or work environment.
